![]() I also don’t like how Email groups this app folders all together. what’s the point of an this app app that isn’t fully useful for all functional processes? If I start an this app in polymail then have to complete it when I’m at work on a pc? no option. I use the Mac version and don’t seem to have as many issues with it there as I do on iPhone.įirst, it doesn’t sync drafts. I’ve been using it for about 6 months and it replaced Astro which I really LOVED. In short: get the desktop and phone app and do away with all the this app clients we've all used by default, this this app app beats them all. I send links to an article I've written to various editors and with Email, I can now see if my content is being read, shared, ignored, so I can get a better idea on various writing styles and which are more well-received. i don't even know if I need the features but I have a feeling they'll be nice to have for some occasion. I'm switching desktop apps from outlook 2016, which I thought was perfect until I tried this. The features are amazing, ive never seen a mail app have them, and the interface is easy and very modern looking, not cumbersome in the least, especially considering how nice they've managed to design it on top of it all. I downloaded this first on my MacBook Pro, and I couldn't believe that I actually love a mail app enough to know I'm going to sign up once the trim is over. But as far as mobile mail I couldn't complain too much it does the job. I surely hope that these bugs/oversights can/will be fixed but until then, Polymail remains a merely ok this app app.Īnd I never thought a mail app would be almost exciting to try. I realize that 13 accounts is an edge case but even with three accounts and lots of folders, this is unacceptable. Such a mess… I have 13 accounts but I stopped after three as it became unmanageable. I use 30+ letter/digit/number passwords and not being able to paste them is a no-go for me from the get-go.Īs I did want to try Polymail though, I did enter the password manually (real pain…) only to discover that I still cannot display folders/labels by account but that they are rather grouped together. How can it be that I can't paste my account password in the login screen but have to enter it manually instead? This is a hugr security risk as it promotes usage of passwords that are easy to remember rather than relying on a password manager. ![]() I thought I give Polymail another try after I was really not happy with it a year ago but I was really surprised to discover that my same complaints are still valid: If there’s venture capital involved, I’d hope someone reconsiders whether Email is worth financing. Even worse, you’ll receive a never ending flow of emails from founder Brandon Foo, but trying to this app him directly - finding his address is easy - generates no response. But Polymail may or may not respond on Monday. Have a problem on a weekend? Good luck! Even Airmail people respond. ![]() And their responses are often non-sensible. Are only available via online chat from the website. I’m a paying customer and can assert that I would not be surprised if Polymail goes the way of Astro, Newton, and all the other paid apps. Makes you wonder if the Polymail is going Polybyebye.Įmail is not ready for prime time. There are constant errors with badges reflecting completely incorrect message counts. UPDATE September 20, 2021: It seems this is becoming abandoned-ware. I’m finally making the jump from Mac Mail, but it won’t be to this. I have four jobs, which is an immense amount of information to keep organized I need all my mail in one place. One of my employers uses Exchange, it can’t be configured as IMAP, and Polymail could give no definitive answer as to when Exchange support would be forthcoming, though they’ve been talking about it since 2016. But no support for Exchange is a deal breaker. So for that, and the beautiful interface, I could have lived with the bugs in the hopes they would work them out eventually. All that was dwarfed, though, by the excellent sender profile feature, especially the ability to access all files a contact has ever sent you in a single list just by opening the profile window, which in turn can be opened through any message from that contact. It often loads mail extremely slowly (so much so that sometimes, the notification pops up before the message is available). ![]() Loved it on the trial run (and I greatly appreciate the free trial). I so wanted to make this my this app app. ![]()
